First things first, I’m going to expose the 2 biggest LIES women have been lead to believe that prevent them from reaching their fitness goals and destroy their motivation. But before all that, I need to drive home a major point for the women out there who want motivation and excitement to succeed with their fitness / health / weight loss:
Women go to the gym because that’s “what everyone else does.” And frankly, if you’ve thought that way – its not a big deal because so does everyone else! The thing is, “everyone else” is getting “average” results at the gym… and by that I mean ABSOLUTELY NO RESULTS!
Most gym memberships are not a success story – a fact that’s 100% proven by the fact that gyms COUNT on a majority of their members to NOT show up. That’s not OUR Women’s Boot Camp program and Women’s Kickboxing Classes. Our mission is your mission – Results.
1) BOREDOM (Lack of Variety, Teamwork, FUN) If I told you right now that boredom is one of the biggest killers of fitness goals for american women – I’d be positively telling you the truth. Oooooh GOODNESS, this one it all too common… One week its the cucumber and pineapple diet, then its going without carbs, then without fat, then without coffee. I’ll say something loud and proud that you’ve probably been thinking for years:
Yep I said it, and I don’t just say it out of frustration, I say it because when it boils down to RESULTS, a “diet” is a pretend-bandaid that doesn’t do the job. Most are unhealthy in the long run and unsustainable. This especially is true when it comes to “diet pills” – and in fact is usually dangerous. Who do you know who was met their weight loss / fitness goals by happily eating cucumber and pineapple? Probably no one.
Yet this is STILL what women around America try, because that’s all that they know! At the Black Diamond Bootcamp, we’re here to show what truly works – from the inside out! … but that’s only not even half of the FAD myth. How about those crazy fitness gadgets? The “Ab Cruncher 5000″ that’s supposed to get you washboard abs with only 6 minutes per day. Or, how about the shaking hand weight that is supposed to tone your whole body (???). This is the same FAD TRAP, and again most people (men AND women) don’t know what else there is out there – and so they try and get disappointed. Do you know anyone with an inflatable ab chair who used it for 6 minutes a day and got into amazing shape? Probably not! Lets move on to the other, hidden lie of women’s fitness…
This is the subtle judgement that people sometimes make about each other – and that the media helps to spread into everyone’s minds. The fact of the matter is that failing in the past does NOT mean failing to reach your fitness goals in the future (we have success stories to PROVE that).
What do I mean?I mean that they get old real fast, and without variety, without a team, without expertly designed classes and activities, and without a way to measure improvement they fall by the wayside. If you’ve lost motivation in the past, it was probably more the result of your environment than a lack of desire to genuinely meet our fitness goals.
Sometimes this has to do with the Measure-ability of the goals themselves, sometimes it has to do with a lack of a consistent Coach and enthusiastic friends and team mates, but sometimes its simply because one particular kind of workout just got… well… Boring!

Team Black Diamond is lucky enough to have Coach Dan Faggella working with us.
